Christopher Dorsey, Director of Alumni Communication and Advancement Affairs, (860) 465-4509 Gelsi-Young Hall, First Floor, Room 127 The Office of Alumni Affairs organizes events, activities, programs, and services that support and benefit alumni. Through live and virtual events, such as professional and social networking receptions, class reunions, and academic presentations, alumni can stay connected long after graduation. Additional resources include a monthly E-newsletter and notifications about campus events of interest. The Office also coordinates "Class Notes" for Eastern Magazine and actively solicits news from alumni. Recently, it has partnered with the Office of Student Activities to combine the annual “Eastern Celebrates Reunion Day” with “Family Day,” creating a more enriching experience for the entire Eastern community, including students, parents, and alumni of all ages. Since 1969, Alumni Affairs has recognized alumni and special friends for their outstanding career achievements or service to the University. It also hosts the annual “Commencement Fair” for graduating seniors and plays a key role in assisting new graduates as they transition into their new roles as alumni. Students who are interested are encouraged to apply for unpaid internships in the Office of Alumni Affairs. These internships focus on promoting alumni activities and campus news of interest through social media, as well as assisting with event planning and operations management.
